"Improved", pre-1896. Extended, 1925, producing present composition to accommodate alternative use. Refenestrated. Hipped slate roof on a T-shaped plan centred on half-conical slate roof (south-east) with pitched (gabled) slate roof to porch, clay ridge tiles, paired cement rendered central chimney stacks having cut-limestone stringcourses below capping supporting terracotta or yellow terracotta pots, and replacement uPVC rainwater goods on timber eaves boards on cut-limestone eaves retaining some cast-iron octagonal or ogee hoppers and downpipes. Roughcast walls with rusticated quoins to corners.   Detached five-bay (three-bay deep) two-storey courthouse, built 1838-40, on a symmetrical plan with single-bay full-height advanced end bays. Restored, 2002. Closed, 2013. Replacement hipped artificial slate roof with ridge tiles, tooled limestone ashlar panelled chimney stacks on stepped cushion courses on tooled limestone ashlar bases including tooled limestone ashlar "wallhead" chimney stacks (south) having corbelled stepped stringcourses below capping supporting terracotta or yellow terracotta tapered pots, and uPVC rainwater goods on timber eaves boards on cut-limestone stepped cornice retaining cast-iron downpipes.   Three-arch road bridge over river, extant 1825[?]. Part repointed coursed rubble limestone walls retaining sections of roughcast surface finish centred on triangular cutwaters to piers having domed pyramidal capping with tooled hammered limestone rounded coping to parapets. Series of three round or segmental arches with cut-limestone voussoirs. Sited spanning canalised Westport or Carrowbeg River.
