  Description

  In pasture, located on a low NW–SE ridge with a fall of ground to NE. Good views over the surrounding countryside. Listed as ‘enclosure –possible’ in the SMR (1991) and RMP (1997). A not in the SMR file sugguest that there may be an enclosure or ‘ritual hill’ here; no other details are given. • MA082-013002 Barrow - embanked barrow
  Description

  In pasture, located on the top of a low NW–SE ridge with a fall of ground to NE and good views over the surrounding countryside. Slightly raised circular area or platform (diam. 7.5m N–S) defined by a low, raised internal lip/bank (Wth 2.3m at N, 2m at S; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.4m at N, 0.7m at S). • MA082-028 Barrow - ring-barrow
  Description

  In pasture, located on the E side of a low rise. Circular platform (diam. 12m; ext. H 0.6m at W, 1.1m at E) enclosed by a fosse (Wth 1.5-2m) and external earth and stone bank (Wth 3-3.5m; int. H 1.2-1.5m; ext. H 0.2m at W, 1.2m at E). The central platform is slightly domed in profile, with a shallow depression (diam. c. 2m) on the NE side. The fosse is narrow relative to the external bank which is substantial, but low externally at W where it is dug into the rising slope. Stony remnants of a field fence overlie the external bank at N–E. Overall diam. (crest to crest ext. bank): 21m The central platform is grass covered; the outer bank is ringed with gorse, thorn bushes and brambles. There is another barrow (MA082-046----) 300m to NW. • MA082-037 Enclosure
  Description

  Located in undulating, improved pasture, with rising ground to N and S. Not indicated on the 1916 OS 6-inch map. Listed in the RMP (1997) as a possible enclosure based on an aerial photograph (GSI M 553 -2; Roll 214, pr. 9), which shows a roughly oval feature/possible earthwork, bordered to E by a farm track. When inspected in 1997, land reclamations works have taken place in the field. The amorphous outline of a raised area (max. dim. c. 30m), resembling a natural rise, is visible. It is not possible to determine whether this is an archaeological monument. The nature of this feature and whether it is archaeologically significant is very uncertain.   Description

  In pasture, located in a lowlying area, with poorly drained wet ground immediately to N, and rising ground to NW and NE. A circular area (diam. 11-12m) defined by a low bank (Wth c. 3m; int. H 0.35-0.4m; ext. H 0.1-0.2m), best preserved on the W half. The interior area appears slightly sunken and encloses a slight rise (diam. c. 3m) off-centre in the NE quadrant. • MA082-066 Cairn - unclassified
  Description

  In pasture, located on the narrow top of a knoll, with a steep fall of ground on the SW–W and a more gently slope to E. The knoll provides good views in all directions, but is overlooked by a ridge to S. A sod-covered, roughly circular, stony mound or cairn (diam. 10.5m; H 0.85m at E, 0.75m at W) with a rather flattened top. Stones protrude randomly from beneath the sod. • MA082-069 Mound
  Description

  In pasture, at the junction of three field walls, located just below the summit of a hill, close to a break of slope to SW, with good views. A roughly circular, flat-topped mound of earth and stone (diam. c. 10m; H 0.6m at NE, 0.75m at SW), with a small heap of loose field clearance stone on top at NE.
