Construction of a single storey four bedroom dwelling house 252m2 including an integrated 35 m2 garage with waste water treatment and percolation area on site. The design of the house is carefully considered to blend with the natural surroundings. The use of black cladding and a low pitch grass roof, along with strategic landscaping, aims to minimise the visual impact on the landscape. The house's positioning in the middle of a sloped site further aids in integrating the structure in its environment, ensuring that it complements the natural setting.

- MA071-143 Ringfort - rath
Description
In pasture, located on a stony terrace on the SE-facing slope of a ridge, overlooked at SW by the summit of the ridge. The Trimoge River is 175m to E. Broadly oval area (32.8m N–S; 24.5m E–W) defined by a degraded stony scarp (H c. 0.55m), merging NE–S with the natural fall of ground, outside which it is enclosed by the remnants of a fosse and outer bank. The scarp is incorporated into a field fence at SW–N. A low stony bank (Wth 1m) is set 2.5-3m in from the edge of the scarp, more or less respecting its curve at N−ENE; this may be a late feature, possibly a field fence. The fosse (Wth c. 2m; D 0.3m at S) is defined on its outer edge by slight remnants of an outer bank, surviving as dilapidated stony rise (Wth c. 1.7m) incorporated into a field fence and ringed with hazel trees. Another field fence, on a NE–SW axis, crosses the NE edge of the rath. A stony ramp-like slope (Wth 2.5-3m) on the ESE side of the rath may mark an original entrance. The rath interior slopes down from centre to E–SE; the ground surface is uneven and stony underfoot. There is a souterrain (MA071-143001-), evident as a linear depression, in the W half. A slightly raised sub-circular stony area (diam. c. 6m) of uncertain significance abuts the souterrain depression at NE. The rath is engulfed in a stand of hazel trees. Description
In a rath (MA071-143----). The remains of this souterrain are visible as a linear grassed-over depression (Wth 2m; D 0.4-0.6m) which zig-zags through the level W half of the interior. It extends from a point close to the rath scarp at NNW to SE for 7.5m, changes direction to SW for 4.7m and then continues to SSE for a further 11m. At the NNW end, a slab, probably an in situ lintel or roof slab, is visible in a sub-surface void. Compiled by: Jane O’Shaughnessy Date of upload: 13 September 2021
- MA071-173 Ringfort - rath
Description
In pasture, on a rise with good views. There is a stream 150m to W. Slightly raised roughly circular area (diam. 31.8m N−S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.2m at N, 2.7m at S; int. H 0.5m at N, 0.8m at S; ext. H 1.3m at N, 1m at S). Stones protrude from the inner edge of the bank, possibly remnants of a kerb. A lot of small stones are visible on top of the bank on the W arc. The interior is level, dotted with a few stony hummocks. There are low areas in the bank at N and SW but no clearly defined entrance gap. There is a local tradition of a possible souterrain (MA071-173001-). The rath is thickly ringed with blackthorn and hawthorn bushes, with blackthorn encroaching on the interior. Description
In a rath (MA071-073----). A local tradition that a ‘cave’ or underground passage links this rath to another rath (MA071-143----) located c. 500m to N suggests that there may be a souterrain here. There is no visible trace at ground level. Compiled by: Jane O’Shaughnessy Date of upload: 23 September 2021
- MA080-015 Ringfort - rath
Description
In pasture/grazing, located on a NW−SE ridge, which borders the W side of the valley of the River Glore. Ground falls away steeply c. 30m to NE of the rath towards the river which is 245m to E. There is a more gradually slope to SW. This rath is indicated as a circular enclosure on the 1838 OS 6-inch map; by the time of the 1919 edition the N arc of the enclosure had been truncated by an E−W field boundary and the enclosure is depicted as a penannular hachured area open to N. The S two thirds of the rath survive as very slightly raised semicircular area (27m E−W; 21m N−S) defined E−WNW by an earthen bank (Wth 2.6m; int. H 0.8m at SE, 0.3m at SW; ext. H 0.95m at SE, 0.85m at SW). The N arc of the rath has been levelled and there is no trace at ground level. A field boundary on a roughly E-W axis lies immediately to N, clipping the NW terminal of the bank. The bank is largely earthen, but there are traces of stone facing in parts on the relatively vertical external face –this may be the result of modification in the modern era. There is a break (Wth 2.5m) at SSW. A few meters to SE of the rath is a grass-covered mound (6.5m N−S; 5m E−W; H 0.8m) –probably a field clearance heap.
