  Description

  Located on rise which is on a slight SW-facing slope. It is depicted faintly as a large circular enclosure (diam. c. 70m) incorporating the bank of a curving road in the perimeter SW-N only on the 1836 edition of the OS 6-inch map. No archaeological feature is visible at ground level in pasture, and the natural hillock might be the feature depicted. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987).   Description

  Detached five-bay two-storey country house, built c.1740, with two-stage castellated tower to north-west corner. Pitched slate roof with rendered chimneystacks. Rendered surrounds to windows. Round-arched stone doorcase with fanlight. Return to rear, with timber sash windows. Porch addition.

  Description

  Ranges of multiple-bay single-storey outbuildings, built c.1740. Comprising of four ranges set around a central courtyard with ranges of outbuildings set within the courtyard. Bellcote set over segmental-arched carriage opening, set in rubble stone screen wall. Rubble stone walls with slate roofs. Gun loops, segmental-arched and square-headed openings. Derelict estate worker's house to the site. Remains of walled garden to the site.
