  Description

  Situated on top of a hill within the Rossmore estate. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam c. 84m) enclosed by a low bank (int. H 0.25m; ext. H c. 1m), with an entrance (Wth 3.3m) at the SW. There is no evidence of an outer fosse. Date of upload: 14 April 2011

  Description

  Situated immediately to the W of a S-N stream within the Rossmore estate. This is a circular raised area (diam. c. 30m) surrounded by a high bank (H c. 2m) on the W. The interior slopes down from W to E, and is heavily overgrown. It is probably a landscape feature. Date of upload: 14 April 2011

• Camla House, steward's house, 1870–1890 · Regional interest
  Description

  Detached three-bay two-storey steward's house, built c.1880, having gabled porch to front (east) elevation, and gabled extension and lean-to extension to rear. Now in use as private house. Pitched slate roof, with red brick chimneystacks having clay pots, and replacement rainwater goods. Harl-rendered walls with painted block-and-start rusticated quoins and plinth course. Smooth render plinth course to rear. Square-headed window openings throughout, having raised render reveals, tooled painted stone sills and timber sliding sash windows, three-over-six pane to first floor to front and six-over-six pane to other square-headed openings, and round-headed window opening to front of porch, with render reveal and sill, and having six-over-six pane window. Square-headed door opening to south elevation of porch, having render reveal and timber panelled door, with two render steps. Square-headed door openings to extensions to rear having render reveals and replacement uPVC doors.

  Description

  Detached L-plan split-level former corn mill, built c.1850, two-storey to front (west) elevation and three storey to rear (east) elevation, with attic storey. Pitched replacement slate roof with timber bargeboards and cast-iron rainwater goods. Snecked squared sandstone walls, with dressed block-and-start quoins. Square-headed window openings having tooled sandstone sills and lintels and gauged-brick square-headed window openings with red brick surrounds. Window openings boarded up or having timber fittings. Opening to south elevation having leaded window panes. Square-headed door opening to south elevation, with tooled sandstone surround. Gauged masonry round-headed door openings at basement level and ground floor level to east elevation, with tooled stone voussoirs. Positioning of floors to interior visible by spaces to wall. Wheel-pit and machinery visible to west elevation, mill race also visible to west.
