Description
Situated on the NW-facing slope of the spine of a NW-SE drumlin ridge. This is a circular grass covered area (diam. 32m NW-SE) that slopes down markedly to the NW (H 2.4m). It is defined by an earthen bank (at SE: Wth of base 8m; int. H 1.1m; ext. H 0.1m) on the uphill side NE-S but it is incorporated into a field bank with external stone facing elsewhere and reduced to a scarp (at NW: H 1.8m) on the downslope. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance. Most of the perimeter SE-W-NE and much of the interior is now overgrown (Bing 2013). Description
Located on a low rise in a low-lying undulating landscape. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 41m NE-SW; 38m NW-SE) defined by a slight earthen bank that is largely reduced to a scarp (at SE: H 1.2m) and hedge. There is no visible fosse, but the entrance (Wth of base 2.5m) is at SSE. Description
Located on a low rise in a gently undulating low-lying landscape. This is a slightly raised circular grass-covered area (diam. 34.2m ENE-WSW; 31m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth of base 6.2-7m; int. H 0.2-0.6m; ext. H 1.8-2m) and hedge with remnants of an external stone facing. There is no visible fosse, but the entrance (Wth of base 2.2m) is at SE. Description
Situated on a low rise in a low-lying undulating landscape. There is local knowledge of an underground chamber or souterrain, the opening to which was in the SW part of the interior of rath (MO029-008001-). It is reported that animal bones and charcoal littered the floor of a drystone-walled and lintelled passage that extended off to the SE.
