  Description

  Large flat-topped mound (H at S c. 5.50m, W at top N-S c. 19m) which drops away steeply at S only, degraded at N and W. Appears to be a natural ridge adopted as a motte with a possible bailey (c. 30m E-W, c. 29m N-S) at W side. Site badly disturbed and no evidence of an enclosing ditch.   Small horseshoe shaped mound (c. 9.30m E-W, H c. 0.30m) with open side facing N and situated in lowlying boggy land WNW of Garr graveyard (OF004-002----) and beside other fulacht (OFOO4-018----). On low-lying flat marshy land between good pasture land and bog with graveyard to S (OF004-002----). Grass covered horseshoe-shaped mound (11m N-S; 12 m E-W; H 0.3m) of burnt material with central waterlogged depression (5m by 1.5m) open to NNW (Wth 3m). Second fulacht fiadh 6m to the SW.   Circular mound (H c. 0.25m, Diam c. 11m with central depression (3m x 2.5m) and consisting of burnt and fine shattering stones with black clay. On low-lying flat marshy land between good pasture land and bog with graveyard to S (OF004-002----). Grass covered circular mound (11.5m N-S; 11m E-W; H 0.25m) of burnt material with central hollow depression (2.5m by 3m). One of a group of five fulachta fiadh.   Horseshoe shaped mound (c. 0.30m H, Dims 12m x 11m, trough 5m x 1.5m) composed of black soil, small fire-shattered stones and orientated NNW. According to Fas surveyors two other fulachta fiadh were located here one c. 6m to the W, the other 37m to the SW but were not recorded and are not located by the writer. On low-lying flat marshy land between good pasture land and bog with graveyard to S (OF004-002----). Grass covered horseshoe-shaped mound (7.5m N-S; 4m E-W; H 0.6m) of burnt material with water logged central depression (possible cooking trough) open to NNW (Wth 2.5m).
