Description
Internal diam. 27m N-S, 25.5m E-W. A roughly circular univallate rath situated on a slight SE facing slope about 225m E of the Owenascaul river. The external fosse is a maximum of .6m deep and 4m wide. The earthen enclosing bank is up to 2.5m high externally and 1.25m internally. The entrance faces ESE and is now 3.5m wide. The interior is occupied by a series of cultivation ridges and there is a tradition of a souterrain at the site. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Description
Roughly circular univallate rath KE044-119---- is situated on a slight SE facing slope about 225m E of the Owenascaul river. The interior is occupied by a series of cultivation ridges and there is a tradition of a souterrain KE044-119001- at the site. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Description
A 'cupped stone' was noted at this location by the Kerry Archaeological Survey. In a letter dated August 1972 (Finlay 1973, 22), P.J. O'Sullivan indicated that this may not be the correct location, but local inquiry failed to shed further light on the matter. Orpen (1912, 478-9) also recorded a stone with cups and circles 'behind Ardrinane' this may refer to the cup-marked stone in Brackloon (KE045-082----). The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 169. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 4 August 2013 In improved lush pasture (53m OD), on a generally level plateau. Good views of surrounding landscape and enclosed by higher ground all around. Beenoskee and Stradbally mountain clearly visible to N and gap in mountains to S, where Owenascaul River enters the sea. No visible surface trace. According to Cuppage (1986, 58), ‘A 'cupped stone' was noted at this location by the Kerry Archaeological Survey. In a letter dated August 1972 (Finlay 1973, 22), P.J. Description
Four-arch hump back road bridge over river, built c. 1830, with rubble stone voussoirs, rubble parapets with stone-on-edge copings and round-headed arches of varying heights and form. Bypassed, c. 1975. Replacement bridge at an angle to side is a single-span reinforced concrete structure. Bridge spans two townlands.

Description
Detached four-bay two-storey house, built c. 1890, with single-bay single-storey hipped projecting porch to left. Now also in use as public house. Timber pilaster pubfront inserted to ground floor having panelled pilasters and moulded cornice to accommodate commercial use. M-pitched artificial slate roof with rendered gable chimneystack. Painted rendered walls with roughcast rendered panels at first floor. Plaque inscribed "Tom Crean Antarctic Explorer 1877-1938". Painted sills and lugged render surrounds to replacement uPVC windows. False sash windows to porch. Set adjacent to east end of Anascaul Bridge.
