Description
Situated on a marked NW-facing slope. Oval area (dims. c. 53m NW-SE; 42m NE-SW), defined NE-S-SW by an earthen bank (Wth 2.6-4.5m). At the NE there are traces of a fosse (Wth 2m; D 0.4m), and there is a small field attached to the site at this point which may be an original feature. There are no visible internal features or entrances. The E half of the site is shown on the 1907 OS 6-inch map as a field boundary. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). Description
Situated on a gentle S/SE-facing slope in poorly drained terrain. Roughly oval enclosure (diam. c. 20m) with a raised interior (H c. 0.3m above ground level) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.5m; H c. 1.3m). No indication of an entrance or fosse. The site is very overgrown. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). Description
Situated on a gentle SE-facing slope. Bivallate circular ringfort (diam. c. 28m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3-3.5m; H 0.3m), an external fosse (Wth 2.5m; max. D 0.5m) and an outer bank (Wth 2m; H 0.8m). No indication of an entrance or internal features; the site is very overgrown. The site is clipped at the NE by a lane flanked by earthen banks.
