Description
Situated on a very gentle W-facing slope on W side of a slightly dome-topped ridge, in improved pasture. Circular enclosure (diam. c. 25m) visible as a cropmark on aerial photograph (CUCAP, BDP 11). Not indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map. Not visible at ground level. Description
Situated on level ground towards the SW end of a low ridge. Small cist (dims. c. 0.43m x 0.3m) of four slabs with a capstone containing a food vessel, discovered in 1933. It was found in a rectangular enclosure marked on the 1838 OS 6-inch map. What remains on the site is a small cairn, with traces of stone facing, which may be part of the enclosure. (Dargan 1916, 77-8; Waddell 1990, 163) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). Description
On a steep W facing slope of an elevated ridge with good views from W to N. A triangular shaped stone (H 1.8m; Wth at base 0.86m; Wth at top 0.15m; T at base 0.56m; T at top 0.2m) with the long axis oriented N-S.
