Description
Situated beside a stream at the foot of a slight N-facing slope. Spring in a stone housing, dedicated to St John and still occasionally visited. Description
Situated on the summit of a low E-W ridge, with gentle uphill slopes to the N and marked downhill slopes to the S. Largely levelled circular area (diam. c. 40m) defined at the S by an earth and stone bank (Wth 3m; int. H 1.4m; ext. H 1.8-2m) preserved in the field boundary. There are slight traces of a bank at the SE and SW, with no indication of an external fosse, entrance or internal features. The interior of the bank has drystone facing which continues beyond the site in the field boundary. The field is known as 'The Rath Field', and the site is hachured as a circular enclosure on the 1838 OS 6-inch map. Description
Situated on level ground with views to the S. Oval area (dims. 60m NE-SW; 50m NW-SE) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2-3m; H 1.5-2m) with drystone wall-facing inside and out except at the W where an unfaced remnant of the bank survives. An external fosse is visible at the SE (Wth 2.5m; D 0.25m) with a further stretch noted at the E (D c. 2m) during recent drainage. There are four gaps in the bank; that at the S (Wth 1.2m) may be original. The interior is level with recent farm buildings occupying the E half of the interior. Description
Detached three-bay house, built c.1880. The house is finished in pebble-dash render. To the west side is a small projecting two-storey bay. The timber panelled front door has a plain fanlight and is set within a flat-headed opening. To the east side is a relatively recent but traditional shopfront. The window openings are flat-headed with two over two timber sash windows. The hipped roof is finished with natural slate and has cast-iron rainwater goods. The house faces but is set back slightly from the road.

Description
Semi-detached three-bay two-storey house, built c.1880. The house adjoins a large outbuilding and is finished in roughcast render with moulded dressings. The replacement part-glazed panelled door is set within a projecting gabled porch. Window openings are flat-headed with top-hung replacement timber windows. The pitched roof is finished in natural slate and has cast-iron rainwater goods. There are two chimneystacks; one is rendered with a single clay pot and the other is in brick with a corbelled cap and no pots. The house is road fronted.

Description
Detached two-storey three-bay house, built c.1880. To the eastern side is a long outbuilding which the OS map identifies as a smithy. The house is constructed in semi-coursed granite. The replacement timber sheeted door has plain sidelights and is set within a recent gabled projecting porch. Window openings are flat-headed with centre pivot replacement timber windows; those to first floor have small gables over. The roof is finished with natural slate and uPVC rainwater goods. Chimneystacks are rendered with plain caps and clay pots. The house faces but is set back slightly from the road.
