Marked only on the 1914 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a level landscape. Circular grass and rush-covered area (diam. 10.2m N-S; 10m E-W) defined by a grass-covered stone spread (Wth 1.5m; H 0.3-0.4m), with entrances at N (Wth 1m) and SW (Wth 2m). Description
Marked only on the 1914 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a gentle N-facing slope towards the N end of a NW-SE ridge. Subrectangular or D-shaped grass and scrub-covered but poached area (dims 21.5m N-S; c. 20m E-W) defined by an overgrown but curving earthen bank (Wth 3.4m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 1.9m) and outer field drain SE-SW, and a straight scarp (H 0.5m) at N. The straight sides at E and W are provided by field banks and drains. Description
On a level landscape. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 31.9m N-S; 31.2m E-W) defined by an earthen bank with some bushes (Wth 3.4-4.7m; int. H 0.2-0.5m; ext. H 1.2-1.5m) separated by a complete fosse (Wth of top 5-7.6m; Wth of base 3.2-4m; D 0.4m at E to 1.1m at W) from an outer bank (Wth 2.2-2.7m; ext. H 0.1m) S-NNW. The inner bank is reduced to a scarp (H 0.3m) and the fosse back-filled N-NE. There is no visible entrance. See the attached aerial view taken from the S.
