Description
On a low rise. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 23.5m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4.5m at W to 5.9m at N; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.2m generally to 1.6m at N) S-W-NNE, which is reduced to a scarp (H 1.35-1.6m) eslewhere, and an outer fosse (Wth of top 6.8m; Wth of base 4.3m; D 0.3m) S-W continued by a berm (Wth 4m) W-NE. Description
On top of an ENE-WSW ridge, towards the E end. Subrectangular grass and scrub-covered area (dims 36m NE-SW; 27.2m NW-SE) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.65-3.5m; int. H 0.15-0.45m; ext. H 0.4-0.7m), which is reduced to a scarp (H 0.2-0.4m) N-NE, and an outer fosse (Wth of top 3m; Wth of base 2-2.5m; D 0.3m) W-N-S. Description
Visible as the vegetation mark of a circular feature (diam. c. 35m) linked to rath (RO010-065001-) c. 30m to the ENE on an aerial photographs (GSIAP: M, 669-8) by two drains creating a small field. Description
On the crest of an ENE-WSW ridge, towards the E end. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 31m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (at W: Wth 3.5m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.95-1.2m) SSW-W, at NW, and at NE, and by a scarp (H 0.95m at E to 1.65m at S) elsewhere. There is no visible fosse or entrnace. Description
Visible as a fragment of an oval area (int. dims c. 60m N-S; c. 40m E-W) defined by cropmarks of two concentric fosse features separated by a berm (Wth c. 15m) SW-N in Lisdaly (max. ext. diam. c. 120m)backing onto a small S-N stream or drain on aerial photographs (GSIAP: M 669-8), but it is barely visible in pasture E of the stream on the same photographs. Situated on a flat, low-lying landscape, it is not visible at ground level in pasture. It has not become visible on other aerial photographic series, and the ground E of the stream in Ballinvilla townland was planted in forestry by 2005 (OSAP). Rath (RO010-066----) is c. 100m to the W. Description
Visible as a vegetation mark in rough pasture on aerial photograph (ASIAP (431) 21) and situated on the floor of an E-W valley. Circular grass and rush-covered area (diam. 30.5m E-W; 28.5m E-W) defined by a slight earthen bank (Wth 2.8-5m; int. H 0.1m; ext.
