Description
Situated in a farmyard at the W side of a N-S stream on a severe S-facing slope. It ws described by O'Donovan c. 1840 (O'Flanagan 1929, 70) as a 'dwelling house (int. dims. c. 12m N-S; c. 5.5m E-W) of two storeys'. H 4m) and a fragment of a third with no distinguishing features survives. O'Flanagan, M. (Compiler) (1929) Letters containing information relative to the antiquities of the county of Waterford collected during the progress of the Ordnance Survey in 1841. Typescript. Bray. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Revised by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 10 August 2011
