Description
In rough pasture, on a gentle N-facing slope. Circular area (diam. c. 12m) defined by remains of levelled bank (Wth 6.55m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.8m) reduced to scarp at N. Possible remains of intervening fosse (overall Wth 3.7m; basal Wth 1.3m; D 0.3m) and outer bank (L c. 4m; Wth 3.45m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.1m) at SE. Possible entrance (Wth 2.7m) at S and gap (Wth 1.65m) at NNW. Interior covered in dense scrub overgrowth. Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 5 December 2013

Description
In pasture, on a gentle E-facing slope, on a natural shelf of ground that slopes down steeply c. 10m to N of monument. Circular area (21m N-S; 19m E-W) defined by partially levelled bank (Wth 10.8m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 1.2m) SW-NE, best preserved at N and reduced to scarp NE-SW. Present entrance at WNW. Trace of external fosse (overall Wth 6.8m; basal Wth 3.1m; D 0.2m) evident NW-NNE and waterlogged SW-W. Field boundary (long-axis ENE-WSW) truncetes S edge of enclosure. Raised (H c. 2.5m) on E-side to compensate for the hill-slope. Interior is generally level and grass covered. Stream flanks exterior of monument to E. Description
Detached five-bay single-storey thatched house, built c. 1800, with windbreak to front (north) elevation. Pitched reed thatched roof with rendered chimneystack. Pebbledashed walls with smooth rendered plinth. Square-headed openings having render surrounds and one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows. Square-headed opening set in render and pebble dashed windbreak with replacement timber panelled door with overlight. Outbuilding to east having pitched slate roof and rubble limestone walls. Square-headed opening with timber battened door. Recent decorative concrete wall to front of site with square-profile rendered piers.
