Description

Description
Situated immediately E of a track on a gentle NNE-facing slope in rolling pasture with good views in all directions. Indicated on the 1927 OS 6-inch map as a sub-circular mound (diam. c. 10m) and named 'Cranharry'. Description
Situated in the NW corner of a pasture field, on an elevated area overlooking a W-facing slope with good views to S, W and E. Indicated as a roughly square area (L c. 25m) on the 1840 OS 6-inch map and named 'Kilmoria Burial Ground' but not marked on the 1927 OS 6-inch map. Description
Situated in poorly drained gently undulating pasture. Identified from an aerial photographs (Bruff Survey: Map 15, no 15; 4/3731) as a possible enclosure. The monument consists of a sub-oval area (17.5m E-W; 15.2m N-S) defined by a scarped edge (Wth 2.9-3.8m; H 0.5-0.9m) with an external fosse (Wth 1.4-2.9m) and a counter-scarp earthen bank (ext. H 0.1-0.4m; Wth 1.1-1.5m; int. H 0.2-0.3m). The external bank is more pronounced in the N. The interior slopes down from N to S. Description
Situated in undulating pasture in a river valley, c. 70m NE of a small river. Identified from an aerial photography as a circular enclosure (Bruff Survey: map 15, no 14.01; 4/3731). The monument consists of a sub-oval area (32m NE-SW; 29.8m N-S) defined by a scarped edge (Wth 4.6m; H 0.9m). There is a dip in the scarp at E (Wth 4m) which may be an entrance feature. The interior slopes down gently to SE. Shallow quarrying appears to have taken place in the SW quadrant of theinterior. There is a ring barrow (LI015-059002-) in the SE quadrant of the interior. Situated in the SE quadrant of a circular enclosure (LI015-05901-), in a field of undulating pasture. Identified from aerial photography (Bruff Survey: Map 15, no 14.02; 4/3731) as a ring barrow. Description
In damp level pasture. Circular area (diam. 18m) defined by remains of levelled bank (Wth 7.75m; int. H 0.35m; ext. H 1.5m) and external fosse (Wth 6.55m; D 0.25m). Possible causewayed entrance (Wth 8m) at NNW-NNE. An outer bank (Wth 4.25m; int. H 0.75m; ext. H 0.4m) with an external fosse (Wth 5.65m; D 0.5m) is discernable ESE-SW though obscured by dense scrub vegetation. Interior grass covered. Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 5 December 2013

Description
In undulating damp pasture. Oval area (19m N-S; 14m E-W) defined by scarped edge (Wth 3.2m; H 0.7m) with a fosse (overall Wth 6.2m; basal Wth 1.8m; D 0.2m) at its base. Outside this are two concentric earthen banks: inner bank (Wth 8.25m; int. H 0.35m; ext. H 0.75m) best preserved W-NNE and ESE-SW but is levelled NNE-ESE and reduced to scarp S-W; outer bank (Wth 6.9m; int. H 0.15m; ext. H 0.25m) separated from latter by fosse (overall Wth 8.05m; basal Wth 3m; D 0.15m) and outside it is the outermost fosse (Wth 4.9m; D 0.05m). On reclaimed pasture, 65m N of the Mulkear River. Monument identified as a roughly circular-shaped ring-barrow by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 141: AP 4/3732).
