Description
In pasture immediately W a conifer plantation. Enclosure (LI039-067----) lies 160m to N. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map as a circular-shaped enclosure. Annotated ‘Lisheen’ on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map where it is shown as a roughly oval-shaped area (dims. c. 57m N-S; 58m E-W) enclosed by a bank with external fosse from SE-SW and NW-N. Truncated at E by drainage ditch running NE-SW. Monument is visible as an oval-shaped cropmark on OSi orthophoto taken between 2005-12. Outline of levelled monument visible on Google Earth orthoimages, shed-like structure visible on N edge of enclosing element. See attached Google Earth orthoimages. Description
Detached three-bay two-storey house, built c. 1820, comprising porch to front (north) elevation and three-bay single-storey lean-to to rear (south) elevation. Hipped artificial slate roof with rendered chimneystacks. Lined-and-ruled rendered walls having render quoins, plinth course and cornice to porch. Square-headed openings to first floor with moulded render surrounds, sills, brackets and one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows. Camber-headed openings to ground floor having moulded render surrounds, sills, brackets and one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows. Paired round-headed openings to porch with one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows and shared concrete sill. Segmental-headed opening to porch, east elevation having glazed overlight over timber panelled door. Two-bay single-storey outbuilding to south-west with pitched slate roof. Painted rubble stone walls. Square-headed window opening. Square-headed door openings. Pair of square-profile rendered piers to north with double-leaf cast-iron gates and rendered boundary walls.
