Identified from examination of aerial photograph (BGE 1:5000 No. 50) of the region taken 03/11/1984 associated with Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraghleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline. Visible as a circular cropmark on Google Earth orthoimage dated 05/04/2006 which looks more like the imprint of a ring-feeder rather than a prehistoric ring-ditch. The earthwork is intersected at NW and SW by linear cropmarks running NW-SE and NE-SW respectively.
