  In pasture on a slight SE-facing slope, with good views in all directions except to higher ground N. Located 30m S and E of the townland boundary with Fanningstown, enclosure (LI021-096----) 500m to SE. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map as an embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 40m). It is not subsequently depicted on OSi maps. Inspected by the ASI in 2000 when no trace of the monument was identified on the ground. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OS 6-inch map as a circular-shaped earthwork (approx. diam. 46m) within a small subrectangular-shaped field. • LI021-100 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  On a slight N-facing slope, in pasture, with moderate to good views in all directions and abutting the townland boundary with Maghera from N-E-SE. Ringfort (LI021-099----) lies 18m to N. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OS 6-inch map as a circular-shaped earthwork within a small subrectangular-shaped field. Monument surveyed by the ASI in 2000 and described as a roughly semicircular-shaped area (44m N-S; 23m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 0.6m) visible from SE-S-W-NW and cut by a townland boundary running N-S across the E sector. There is a break in the scarp from NW-N. The interior contains grass-covered piles of field clearance rocks and is very undulating. Monument is visible as a trapezoidal-shaped tree-lined earthwork on Digital Globe orthophotos taken 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages taken 28/06/2018.   Description

  On a slight S-facing slope, in pasture, with good views in all directions, abutting the townland boundary with Ballylusky to N. Ringfort (LI021-103----) lies 45m to S. Depicted on the 1897 ed. OS 25-inch map as a suboval-shaped earthwork (approx. dims. 35m N-S; 29m E-W) abutting a trackway from NE-E-SE-S. Monument surveyed by the ASI in 2000 and described as no surface remains visible. Partially levelled monument is defined by a field boundary from S-W-N-NE which is visible on Digital Globe orthophotos taken 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages taken 28/06/2018. This curving field boundary probably incorporates the original enclosing element of the ringfort. See attached Google Earth orthoimages.   Description

  On a slight S-facing slope, in pasture, with good views in all directions. Ringfort (LI021-102----) lies 45m to N. Depicted on the 1897 ed. OS 25-inch map as a suboval-shaped earthwork abutting a trackway to W. Monument surveyed by the ASI in 2000 and described as a slightly raised circular-shaped area (24m E-W; 21.7m N-S) defined by a poorly preserved earthen bank (top Wth 1.9m; overall Wth 6.3m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.7m) visible from N-E-S-SSW and reduced to a scarp from SSW-W-N, with shallow external fosse (base Wth 2.2m; overall Wth 5.2m; D 0.2m) visible from N-E-S and infilled from S-W-N, where a field boundary intersects the site. The bank has intermittent cattle breaks from SE-S-SW. A gap through the bank at NE seems modern. The interior is level, dry and clear of overgrowth. • LI021-106 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  In gently undulating pasture, with good views in all directions. A townland boundary with Skagh lies c. 110m to SW and a townland boundary with Corrabull lies c. 155m to SE. Monument surveyed by the ASI in 2000 and described as a raised circular-shaped area (diam. 24m) enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth 3.7m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.6m). The remains of a revetment, one stone high, are evident along the interior of the bank from SW-W-N-E-SE. There are numerous small cattle breaks in the bank. A field boundary runs E-W across the S quadrant and to S of this, the bank and interior are obscured by mounds of earth and large rocks from field clearance. The interior is otherwise level and covered in light vegetation. Monument is visible as a tree-planted earthwork on Digital Globe orthophotos taken 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages taken 28/06/2018.
