Description
In gently undulating tillage with poor views in all directions, 150m W of townland boundary with Kilpeacon and standing stone (LI022-236----) 125m to SW. No surface remains visible. Depicted on the 1840 OS 6-inch map as a large circular shaped area enclosed by a scarp, not marked on subsequent editions, likely that monument was levelled between the map dates. - LI022-029 Ringfort - rath
Description
Earthwork described in 1942-3 as following; 'This is a circular space enclosed by an earthen bank. Outside this there is a fosse. The interior seems level with the field outside. Quite recently the bank has been faced with stones on the outside. These have been collected off the neighbouring fields. It is now used as a paddock and the original entrance on the east side has been narrowed and fitted with a gate. Fences have been built against the rampart on the N. W. and S.E. sides. The overall diameter is 150' [46m] (O'Kelly 1942-3, 244). Tree-covered monument clearly visible today on Digital Globe aerial photographs. Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 9 March 2020

Description
In level wet pasture with poor views in all directions. Enclosure (LI022-027----) located 125m to NNE. Surveyed by the ASI in 2000 and described as a roughly diamond shaped upright stone (H 1.2m) with its long axis orientated NNW-SSE. The rock which appears to be a conglomerate has packing stones at the base. Visible on Google Earth orthoimage taken 28/06/2018. Wall-mounted cast-iron post box, erected c. 1885, bearing crown and royal insignia of Queen Victoria. Mounted in boundary wall to roadside.
