Description
In pasture, atop flat rocky terrace in area of frequent limestone outcrops cut by gullies. Roughly circular area (28m N-S; 25m E-W) enclosed by collapsed drystone wall (H c. 0.85m; Wth c. 4m); outside edge of enclosing element truncated SE->SW by E-W field boundary. No entrance apparent. Description
Atop low rise, in undulating rocky pasture. Circular area (29.4m N-S; 27.8m E-W) enclosed by earth-and-stone bank (int. H 0.65m; ext. H 0.7m) that is truncated NW->NE by E-W field boundary and is very indistinct SSE->SSW. Interior level and covered by tall grass; two areas have been surface quarried for limestone: to E of centre (6m N-S; 4m E-W; max. D 0.5m); to W of centre (4m N-S; 3m E-W; max. D 0.3m). Description
In low-lying pasture, with frequent outcrops of limestone. Circular area (25.2m N-S; 24.6m E-W) enclosed by earth-and-stone bank (int. H 0.65m; ext. H 0.5m), with external bank (int. H 0.25m; ext. H 0.6m) NW->NE. No obvious entrance but cattle breaks at N and NE. Interior level and covered by tall grass. Enclosure abutted by earthen banks at NE (L-shaped: extends 15.8m to N and then returns W for 21m; Wth 0.95m; H 0.4m), at SW (L 0.45m; Wth 1.2m; H 0.6m) and at NW (L 15.3m; Wth 2.4m; H 0.45m). These are probably remnants of an ancient field system. Immediately NE of enclosure is area which has been surface quarried for limestone (22m N-S; 22m E-W; D c. 0.7m).
