Description
On a N-facing slope in grassland overlooking bogland to NE. Well-preserved D- shaped rath (E-W c. 40m, N-S c. 30m) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank has traces of an inner stone revetment, best preserved from S to W. A field wall overlies the outer bank from N to NE. Either one of two gaps at E or W could be the original entrance. Description
Some 180m SE of a ringfort (GA001-001----). Very poorly preserved subcircular rath (N-S 30m, E-W 26m) defined by a degraded scarp (H < 0.6m) best preserved at SW. Description
On E-facing slope of a low hill in undulating grassland overlooking a turlough to SE. Subcircular rath (N-S 37.5m, E-W 33m), in fair condition, defined by two earthen banks and an intervening fosse. There is a possible entrance (Wth 5m) at E. A subrectangular hollow in SW section of the interior appears modern. Earthen banks radiating from the monument at SE and S may be associated.
