Description
In the NE corner of a field in level pastureland. Named 'Esker Grave Yard' on the 1838 edition of the OS 6-inch map and shown as a small walled roughly rectangular graveyard. On the 1944 revision of the map it is named 'Esker Burial Ground' and depicted as being roughly triangular in shape and unenclosed. On inspection no enclosing element or grave-markers were visible. Description
Section of canal, constructed c. 1755. Now disused and partly infilled. Ashlar limestone lock chamber to west end of canal.

Description
Detached T-plan five-bay single-storey national school, dated 1858, having gabled porch to front elevation, and gabled attic storey to return to rear (north) elevation. Currently not in use. Pitched slate roofs with grouped octagonal-plan ashlar limestone and red brick chimneystacks, cut limestone copings and eaves course, cut limestone finial to porch gable, and gabled dormer windows to return. Dressed coursed polychrome limestone walls with plinth course and tooled limestone quoins, with lancet niches and relieving arches over window openings to gables. Date plaque to porch with heraldic crest, and limestone plaque above with school name. Square-headed window openings throughout, with cut limestone label-mouldings, except for windows in porch sides, and having chamfered limestone surrounds and replacement uPVC windows. Tudor-arch door opening to porch with chamfered limestone surround, panels to spandrels, and cut limestone hood-moulding having carved label stops, with replacement timber door. Tudor-arch door opening to west side of return with chamfered limestone surround, timber battened door, and overlight. Wrought-iron pedestrian gate to front boundary, set to carved limestone pierswith plinths, copings and caps, flanked by dressed limestone boundary walls with stone copings.

Description
Detached tapered profile two-storey Martello tower, constructed c.1805, currently not in use. Standing on west side of River Shannon at Banagher Bridge. Cut limestone coping and cast-iron rainwater goods. Ashlar limestone walls with projecting plinth course. Square-headed opening at first floor level of south side with sloping sill and with projecting brackets to east side of opening. Square-headed openings to north and south sides with cast-iron grills to openings.

Description
Detached two-bay two-storey lock keeper’s house with attic, built c.1755, presenting single-storey appearance to side elevations, with two-storey lean-to extension to west elevation, and recent multiple-bay single-storey flat-roofed extension to south (front) and west elevations. Pitched slate roof with cement rendered chimneystack. Rendered walls with round-headed recesses to middle of north and east elevations, with render plat band to impost level, render dropped keystones to recessed, and render eaves course. Square-headed replacement uPVC windows with stone sills. Canal-related outbuildings to west of house.

Description
Detached rectangular-plan two-storey rubble limestone fortification, built c.1650, converted c.1805 for use as battery, having round turrets to south-west and south-east corners and curved corners at north-west and north-east. Now disused. Battered base to south-east corner tower. Surrounded to east, south and west by stone-lined moat. Dressed limestone parapet and coping. Camber-arch door opening to south elevation with yellow brick voussoirs and reveals, and having timber fittings. Square-headed window openings to east elevation, with yellow brick jambs and limestone sills. Narrower windows elsehwere with bars.
