Description

Description
In gently undulating pastureland. According to local information, a ‘cave’ known as the 'lair' of the 'Gadaí Dubh (Black Thief)' was uncovered by during bulldozing operations just inside a field wall on the E side of a roadway. It appears to have been aligned E-W as on the other side of the roadway 'slab stones' where found when the area beside the wall was dug to a depth of about '5ft' (c. 1.5m); this was subsequently blocked up. Description
In pastureland immediately to the E of a N-S running road. According to local information a children's burial ground was located in this reclaimed field. Some loose stones are visible but there is no evidence of any set stones. A cross-inscribed slab (GA112-054002-) is built into the field wall at W. Description
In a reclaimed field immediately to the E of an N-S running road and associated with a children's burial ground (GA112-04001-). A trapezoidal-shaped slab (H 0.58m; Wth 0.44m; D 0.37m), built into the W field boundary, is carved with a Latin cross in low relief. Description
Detached four-bay single-storey vernacular house, built c.1800, having pitched thatched roof with decoratively scolloped raised ridge, rendered chimneystack and render coping. Smooth render to walls. Square-headed openings to front (south) elevation having timber panelled door and two-over-two pane timber sliding sash windows with painted sills. Yard to front accessed by single-leaf vehicular gate. Single-bay single-storey outbuilding with pitched corrugated-iron roof and rubble stone walls to west gable.

Square-headed openings to front (north) elevation having timber battened door and replacement uPVC windows with stone sills. Yard to front with cast-iron pedestrian gate set to square-plan rendered piers having painted stone capping, and rendered boundary walls. Single-bay single-storey outbuilding to west having corrugated-iron roof, rubble stone walls, and square-headed openings.
