• GA105-159 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  On a slight rise in undulating pastureland. A mixed tree plantation, named 'Ring Grove' on the OS 6-inch maps lay immediately to the SW but the trees have since been cleared. This poorly preserved subcircular rath (37.4m NE-SW) is defined by an inner bank (Wth 1.9m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1.5m) with traces of a fosse and possible outer bank from SW to NW. The latter may be associated with the enclosing element of grove. A possible souterrain (GA105-159001-) is associated.   Description

  Within the W half of a rath (GA105-159----). An L-shaped depression may mark the site of a collapsed souterrain. The long axis (L 10m) runs N-S and the short axis (L 6m; Wth 1.6m; D 1m) extends off its SE end and runs E-W. No stonework is visible.   Description

• GA105-161 Enclosure
  Description

  In low-lying pastureland. This subtrapezoidal enclosure (34m E-W; 25.5m N-S), in fair condition, is defined by a bank which is revetted with stone both internally and externally. The bank curves gently from roughly NW to NE and from SE to SW, and is fairly straight from NE to SE and from SW to NW. The monument widens towards its W end. There is a gap (Wth 4.5m) at E. • GA106-129 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  On a low ridge in grassland. This poorly preserved almost circular rath (diam. c. 32m) is defined by a bank (base Wth 3.1m; int. H 1.2m; ext. H 0.5m) and traces of an external fosse (Wth 1.3m). The bank is low and disjointed all round and has been levelled from SW to WSW. A number of trees growing on it have been felled. The fosse is only visible from W to N. The interior slopes to the SW.
