Description
On a gentle rise. Marked on 3rd ed. of OS 6-inch map (1932) as a roughly circular enclosure (D c. 35m). An inspection made in 1967 classified it as a 'Ringfort(?)' and described it as a 'Really odd, oval low platform enclosure (49 paces N.-S. x 38 paces E.-W.) … bounded by a deep fosse with steep sides (Topgr. Description
On a low hillock. Only SW quadrant of this enclosure is marked on 3rd ed. of OS 6-inch map (1932). All that survives is a small section of a bank at S; from SSW to NNW, a scarp forms the enclosing element. A pit is visible at N. A field fence cuts the monument at N and S and no visible surface trace survives to E of it.
