  Description

  On a rise in undulating grassland. Circular rath (D 35.7m), in fair condition, defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. Numerous gaps in the inner bank appear modern. A road cuts the monument at E. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'.   Description

  In flat pastureland. No visible surface trace survived of a feature noted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map when inspected in 1983. Cartographic evidence suggests that it was a quarry.
