- GA100-033 Enclosure
Description
On a N-facing slope in gently undulating pastureland. When inspected in January 1985 this poorly preserved circular enclosure (diam. 44m), known locally as a ‘fort’, was defined by a bank (base Wth 2.25m; int. H 0.25-0.3m; ext. H 1m) from ENE through S to NW and by a scarp from NW to ENE. A gap at SW appeared to be modern. Several mature trees were growing on the bank and disturbed sections of the enclosing element appeared to be the result of the uprooting of some of the trees. The current OSi aerial imagery indicates that the trees have since been removed from the monument. Possibly a rath that was subsequently reused as a tree-ring enclosure. - GA100-036 Quarry
Description
In flat pastureland. A hachured feature marked on the 1946 revision of the OS 6-inch map proved on inspection in 1985 to be an overgrown quarry. As it is of post-AD 1700 date it does not come within the remit of the Archaeological Survey of Ireland. Compiled by: Olive Alcock Date of upload: 8 August 2014
- GA100-037 Ringfort - rath
Description
Encompassing a hummock in pastureland; formerly part of Belview Demesne. Indicated on the 1838 edition of the OS 6-inch map as an enclosed large subcircular mixed tree plantation (c. 94m N-S; c. 92m E-W)named 'Lisnaraha'. On the 1946 revision of the map the trees have been removed and a roughly circular enclosure (diam. c. 40m) is visible within a larger enclosure (diam. c. 93m). The central enclosure (35m N-S; 27m E-W) is defined by a denuded scarp (H 1.4-1.65m). The interior had been levelled off. Four wide cultivation ridges, set 1m apart, are visible in its N sector and there are three structures (GA100-037001-, GA100-037002- and GA100-037003-) in the centre. There is an approximate gap of 20m between the inner and outer enclosure. The latter is defined by a bank (Wth 0.75-3.5m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.5m), which is visible all round and planted with mature beech trees, and a fosse (Wth 1.6-2m; D 0.4m), which survives from NE through S to W and from NW to N. Traces of a possible outer bank, defined by very low wide stony bank, are visible from SE to SSE and from S to WSW. There is a stone-lined entrance gap (Wth 1.7m) at N. The inner enclosure appears to be the remains of a rath. The outer enclosure appears to be a later feature and may relate to the 19th-century landscaping of the demesne. - GA100-037001 Structure
Description
One of three structures (see also GA100-037002- and GA100-037003-) located within the centre of the interior of a rath (GA100-037----). This one is roughly rectangular in plan (4.6m N-S; 4.3m E-W) and is defined by grassed-over stone walls (Wth 1.5m; H 0.15m) along the N, E and S sides. No trace of the W wall survives. There is a small stone-filled depression in the centre of the interior. This structure is c. 2.7m to the N of GA100-037002- and c. 4m to the E of GA100-037003-. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 26 August 2019

Description
One of three structures (see also GA100-037001- and GA100-037003-) located within the centre of the interior of a rath (GA100-037----). Only the last vestiges of this roughly square structure (4.3m N-S; 4.3m E-W) survive. It is defined by moss-covered stones. Only the W and N sides survive as well as the N end of the E side (L 2m). This structure is c. 2.7m to the S of GA100-037001-. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 26 August 2019

- GA100-042 Moated site
Description
In gently undulating marshy pastureland. This rectangular moated site (53.5m NW-SE; 40m NE-SW), in fair condition, is defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank survives from SW through N to SE; elsewhere a scarp forms the enclosing element. The fosse is wide and deep and the outer bank, in which stone-facing is visible, survives from E through S to NNW. A causewayed entrance gap at SSE may be original. The monument is densely overgrown with deciduous trees, briars and bushes. Field clearance is piled up against the outer bank from S through W to NNW and quarrying has encroached upon it at N. There are streams close by to the E and S. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 28 November 2019
