Description
On a NE-facing slope in grassland. Very poorly preserved almost circular rath (E-W 37m, N-S 36.5m) defined by a scarp and external fosse best preserved at S. No visible surface trace of the enclosing elements survives from W through N to NNE where a field wall cuts the monument. Possible entrance at NE. In pastureland. A roughly subrectangular hachured feature (NNW-SSE c. 20m; E-W c. 11m) marked on the 1931 edition of the OS 6-inch map proved on inspection in 1984 to be a disused sand pit defined by a hollow.
