The monument has been completely levelled and no visible surface trace survives. The presence of barley stubble suggests that the subsurface features may have been disturbed by ploughing. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). Date of upload: 05 August 2010

The centre is dished and there is an 'entrance-like' gap (Wth 1.5m) at E, giving the monument a barrow-like appearance. However, these features may in part be the result of quarrying. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). Date of upload: 05 August 2010
