- GA096-110 Church
Description
Within the NE corner of a graveyard (GA096-110001-) in pastureland. All that survives of this medieval church is the E gable (Wth c. 9m) and the returns of the N (L 2.1m; wall T 0.75m) and S (L 1.05m) side-walls. The N wall is incorporated into the enclosing wall of the graveyard. The only intact architectural feature is a two-light ogee-headed window in the E gable. Some worked stone, including fragments of ogee heads, have been placed at the broken end of the S wall. Description
Associated with the medieval church (GA096-110----), which occupied its NE end, this irregularly shaped graveyard (c. 60m E-W; c. 30m N-S) is enclosed by a stone-built wall. Access is via a gateway at SW. A disused modern church (GA096-110002-) that was subsequently converted into a cow byre stands in its SE section. Description
Within the SE sector of a graveyard (GA096-110001-)l; the remains of a medieval church (GA096-110----) stand in the NE sector. This disused 19th/20th church (c. 18m E-W; c. 7m N-S) is unroofed but the walls still stand to their original height; the E and W ends are heavily overgrown. The church was subsequently reused as a cattle byre. A pointed arched doorway with a pointed arched window on either side of it are visible in the S wall.
