Description
On a rise in grassland. Poorly preserved subcircular enclosure (E-W 38m, N-S 32m) defined by a bank and an external fosse which survives from NW through N to NE. Quarrying has disturbed the bank at NE and WSW. A house (GA087-169----) lies 110m to E. Description
In undulating grassland. Marked on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map as two contiguous oval enclosure: one to N (c. 25m by c. 20m), the second to S (c. 30m by c. 25m). On the map, an irregular quarry pit is shown in the area between them, it also partially overlies both enclosures. No visible surface trace survives, but the area is still known as the 'fort field': a disused quarry now marks the site. Description
On a hummock in undulating grassland. Subcircular area (E-W; L 7.5m, Wth 6.5m) defined by a low stony bank. A gap (Wth 1.8m) at S may mark an entrance. Quarrying has disturbed the bank from NE through E to SE. An enclosure (GA087-165----) lies 110m to W.
