  Description

  In level pastureland. Poorly preserved circular cashel (diam. c. 34.8m) defined by an overgrown wall which is best preserved at E. A field wall cuts through the monument from NW to SE and little trace of the enclosing element survives to the SW it. There is a souterrain (GA114-035001-) in the E half of the interior.   Description

• GA114-109 Ringfort - rath
  Description

  In level pastureland. This impressive well-preserved subcircular rath (diam. 60m) is defined by three banks of earth and stone and three fosses. There is a causewayed entrance gap (Wth 2.5m) at E, which Westropp (1919, 181-2) suggests is modern. The interior is uneven and the entire monument is planted with trees and partly overgrown. There are two souterrains (GA114-109001- and GA114-109002-) in the interior. • GA114-109001 Souterrain
  Description

  Within the SE quadrant of a rath (GA114-109----). This well-preserved drystone-built souterrain, which was the setting for an experimental archaeological project in 1979 (Fox 1980, 14-15), is roughly Z-shaped in plan. From the access point a passage extends to the E (L 5.56m) and to the N (L 9.7m; Wth 1.96m max.). The latter section leads to a chamber (L 6.55m; Wth 2.12m; H 1.6m ), running E-W, off its NW end. An air-vent is evident at the NE end of the passage. There is another souterrain (GA114-109002-) in the SW quadrant of the rath. • GA114-109002 Souterrain
  Description

  Within the SW quadrant of a rath (GA114-109----). This souterrain has collapsed and is now defined by an open linear depression (12m NE-SW; 3.8m NW-SE; D 0.7m). Its sides are vertical and remnants of possible stone corbelling survive; it is heavily eroded by livestock. A broad, partially exposed, lintel surrounded by another depression (dims. 3.8m NE-SW; 3.1m NW-SE; D 0.55m) is visible 6m to the SW. The lintel seems to cover another area of collapse. It is not possible to say if the two passages are connected, but their close proximity would suggest that they are. Another small area of collapse (dims. 2m E-W; 1.8m N-S; D 0.65m), c. 1.8m to the SE, suggests the passage turns here. There is another souterrain (GA114-109001-) in the SE quadrant of the rath. • GA114-110 Barrow - ring-barrow
  Description

  On a hummock in gently undulating grassland. This poorly preserved circular ring-barrow (diam. c. 19.7m) comprises a central platform surrounded by a wide shallow fosse (Wth 5.5m; D 0.4m) and a low denuded external earthen bank.
