Description
Detached five-bay two-storey house c.1800, with single-storey flat-roofed extensions to rear (north) elevation. Currently disused. Pitched slate roof with cement rendered chimneystacks with clay pots, and cast-iron rainwater goods. Roughcast rendered walls with smooth rendered plinth course, sill course and eaves course to front elevation, and lined-and-ruled rendered walls to gables. Square-headed window openings with tooled stone sills and timber battened fittings. Round-headed door opening with render surround, boarded up. Garden to front bounded by cast-iron spearhead railings on cut limestone plinths with cast-iron pedestrian gate, and with decorative wrought-iron double-leaf gate to west end with cut-stone piers. Rubble limestone piers further to west with wrought-iron double-leaf gate.

Description
Detached three-bay two-storey house, built c.1820, with shallow bowed central breakfront to front (east) elevation, and two-bay two-storey extension to west end of south elevation. Hipped slate roof with paired cement rendered central chimneystacks, and cast-iron rainwater goods. Roughcast rendered walls with render quoins, and with weather-slating to south elevation. Square-headed window openings with stone sills and six-over-six pane timber sliding sash windows. Elliptical-headed entrance opening with moulded render surround, having recessed elliptical-headed doorway with decorative fanlight and double-leaf glazed timber panelled door, approached by cut limestone steps. Cement rendered boundary wall to road with cement rendered piers and cast-iron gates, flanked by cement rendered quadrant walls.

Description
Detached three-bay two-storey house, built c.1820, with pedimented gablet to front (south) elevation and pedimented projecting porch, and with two-bay two-storey return to rear. Pitched slate roof with gable end cement rendered and brick chimneystacks. Cut limestone dressings to pediments, and with urns to gablet and ends of façade. Rendered walls with render quoins to front elevation, and weather-hung slating to west gable. Cut limestone quoins to porch. Square-headed window openings, with replacement uPVC windows to front elevation with render label-mouldings, six-over-six pane timber sliding sash and six-pane double timber casement windows to west elevation, with tooled limestone sills throughout. Square-headed replacement uPVC door to porch. Single-storey outbuildings to west, having pitched slate and corrugated-iron roofs and rubble limestone walls.

Harbour, built c.1810, on west bank of River Shannon. Dressed limestone retaining walls with sloping sides to entrance and cast-iron mooring bollards. Accessed by canal to north of Portumna Bridge. Detached two-bay two-storey goods store, built c.1900, to south of harbour and detached five-bay two-storey office building, built c.1995, to west.

Freestanding cast-iron crane, erected c.1850, on south side of Connacht Harbour by Shannon Commissioners, for loading and unloading goods. On cast-iron pivot set in dressed limestone pad, with cogged wheel and cranking handles. Plaque 'Board of Public Works / To lift 1 Ton / 1-8-03 / Shannon Navigation' to main upright support.
