  Description

  Situated on slight N-S ridge in a fairly low-lying landscape surrounded by drumlins and within a mixed wood with mature trees and young plantings. This is a circular area (diam. 30m NNW-SSE) defined by an earthen bank (Wth of base 6-7.7m; int. H 0.7m at S to 1.3m at N) separated by a fosse (Wth of top 5-6.2m; Wth of base 1-2.2m ext. D 1.1-1.4m) from an outer bank (at W: Wth of base 4.3m; int. H 1.1m; ext. H 0.7m) that morphs into a field bank (at SSE: Wth of base 3.7m; ext. H 1.3m) with an outer drain (Wth of top 2.3m; ext. D 0.5m) E-SW. There is a widened entrance (Wth of base 3.3m) at ESE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987).   Description

  Situated on a slight NNW-SSE ridge in a low-lying landscape surrounded by drumlins. This is depicted as a semi-circular bank NW-E-SE on the 1836 and 1908 editions of the OS 6-inch map. It is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 39m NW-SE) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (at NE: Wth of base 3.2m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.4m) NW-E-SE and a slight berm (at NE: Wth 1.5m) NW-NEE that is deepened into a flat-bottomed fosse (at NE: Wth of top 3.5m; Wth of base 2.8m; int. D 0.8m; ext. D 0.5m) NNE-SE but the perimeter can scarcely be discerned elsewhere. There is no identifiable original entrance.   Description

  Situated on a slight NW-SE ridge with higher ridges around it. This is a subcircular grass-covered area (dims c. 27n NW-SE; 23m NE-SW) defined by a grass-covered earthen bank (Wth of base 3m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 1.5m) with some bushes and an outer fosse (Wth of base 1.3m; ext. D 0.75m) S-W, but the perimeter is reduced to a scarp (at NW: H 0.7m) elsewhere.   Description

  Located towards the NNW end of a SSE-NNW spur and just SE of its highest point. This is a raised subcircular, grass and rush-covered area (dims 34m NW-SE; 28m NE-SW) defined by an earthen bank (Wth of base 3.6m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.6m) and hedge with an outer fosse (Wth of base 1.4m; ext. D 0.7m) that cannot be traced SE-SW. The original entrance is not identified.
