Description
On a hillock in grassland. Marked on the 1838 edition of the OS 6-inch map as a subcircular enclosure (c. 53m NW-SE; c. 50m NE-SW) which was cut by a N-S running field boundary from roughly NE to SE. On inspection in May 1984 no visible surface trace survives. However, its outline is visible on the OSi Ortho_ITM aerial imagery (Google 2019). Description
In grassland immediately N of a farm house. Very poorly preserved subcircular rath (41m E-W; 38m N-S) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank is visible except to S where a scarp forms the enclosing element. The fosse and outer bank only survive from WSW to NW. The interior has been ploughed extensively. Description
On a hillock in grassland. Well-preserved subcircular rath (39m N-S; 35.5m E-W) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank is overgrown with hawthorn trees. The fosse and outer bank survive from SE through W to N. They are cut by field banks from NE to SE and at S. There is a well-defined causewayed entrance gap (Wth 1.8m) at N.
