In pasture, on level patch of ground, above N-facing slope. Circular, slightly raised area (22m E-W; 20m N-S), enclosed by scarp (H 0.4m) with slight internal lip SSW->NE; stone-built field boundary elsewhere. Interior saucer-shaped. In tillage, on SSW-facing slope. Circular area (diam. c. 30m) defined by earthen bank (int. H 1.6m). Bank stone-faced externally, with trees planted on inner face. Interior planted with coniferous trees; raised on S side to compensate for hillslope. Laneway to farm skirts bank to S; farm buildings built into side of enclosure to E.
