Description
In pasture, on W-facing slope. Circular area (diam. 35.5m) defined by scarp (max. H 3m). Hartnett (1939, 156) recorded 'section of original rampart remaining' to N and 'modern field fence superimposed on the line of the old rampart' to E. Possible souterrain (8959) in interior. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
