  Description

  Not visible at ground level. According to the local farmer the site was an old gravel pit that had been subsequently filled in. Present remains consist of a slight hollow depression with fragments of a small low bank visible in places. Of dountful archaeological significance. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
