Description
According to Kinahan (1879-88, 158) on the N side of the E-W R725 road in Motabower there was a low circualar feature which was probably a rath as an underground chamber (WX005-012002-) was said to have been found on it. The location is marked on a fieldmap of the Geological Survey of Ireland, and a house is now on the site. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). Description

Description
Located towards the bottom of a S and SE-facing slope. An area of bedrock is split and a loose portion (dims. 4.8m NE-SW; 1.8m NW-SE; H 1.4-1.8m) is supported on a sidestone (dims. 2m NE-SW; 0.3-0.5m NW-SE; H 1m) at SE and the bedrock itself at NW. - WX006-006 Enclosure
Description
Marked as a small circular enclosure (diam. c. 25m) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated at the bottom of a SE-facing slope with a N-S stream c. 90m to the E. No feature is visible at ground level in pasture. It is conjoined with rath (WX006-007----), which is immediately to the N and which it may have served as an annexe. - WX006-007 Ringfort - rath
Description
Marked as small circular enclosure (diam. c. 25m) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a slight shelf at the bottom of a SE-facing slope with a N-S stream c. 60m to the E. This is an oval, grass-covered area (dims. c. 32m E-W; c. 27m N-S) known locally as a raheen which is defined by a stone-clad earthen field bank (Wth c. 2m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1.5-1.8m) with an external flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of top 5m) at E and low remains of a bank (Wth 5m; H 0.2m) at S and W. It is conjoined to enclosure (WX006-006----), which is immediately to the S.
