  Description

  Detached seven-bay two-storey officers quarters, built c. 1810, with three-bay two-storey extension to rear. Hipped natural slate roof with nap rendered chimneystacks, polygonal clayware pots and cast-iron rainwater goods. Ashlar limestone chimneystacks to extension. Roughcast rendered walls, with brick arched recess to extension and having limestone string courses at impost level. Timber sliding sash windows with stone sills. Timber panelled door with toplight and ashlar limestone surround. Rubble stone boundary walls with limestone ashlar surrounds to openings and limestone piers with cast metal double leaf gates.

  Detached five-bay two-storey prison, built c. 1810, now in poor condition. Pitched natural slate roof with concrete barging to party walls, red brick chimneystack, cast-iron rainwater goods and having limestone ashlar at eaves course. Nap rendered walls. Timber sliding sash windows with cast-iron grilles and stone sills. Timber panelled door with ashlar limestone surround. Segmental-arched openings with cast-iron grilles. Loop openings with ashlar limestone surrounds. Roger Casement reputedly held here.

Pitched artificial slate roof with nap rendered chimneystacks, cast-iron rainwater goods and having timber bargeboards to gables. Flat roof to extension. Nap rendered walls. uPVC top-hung outward-opening and side-hung outward-opening windows with stone sills. Timber panelled door with toplight and ashlar limestone surround. Red brick wall of former building to rear.

Pitched natural slate roof with ashlar limestone and nap rendered chimneystacks, cast-iron rainwater goods, hipped natural slate roof to two-storey projections, single-pitched roof to single-storey projection and having ashlar limestone eaves course. Nap rendered walls. Broken render to rear shows limestone quoins and snecked ashlar sandstone. Timber sliding sash windows with stone sills. Timber panelled door with toplight and ashlar limestone surround. Timber top-hung outward-opening windows to rear extension. Concrete steps up to rear front door.
