  Description

  Situated at the N tip of a S-N spur on a N-facing slope. A subcircular or D-shaped enclosure is depicted here only on the 1907 edition of the OS 6-inch map. It was described in 1968 as a subcircular area (int. diam. 31m E-W; 29m N-S) defined by the base of a wall created by large stones or a stone spread (Wth4-4.5 m) with a drystone wall on top. It had been removed by 1995 (OSAP). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986).   Description

  Located on a rise on a S-facing slope. It is depicted as a field bank curving S-NW on the SW side of a NW-SE farm track only on the 1907 edition of the OS 6-inch map. It was described in 1983 as a D-shaped area (dims 36m NW-SE; c. 20m NE-SW) defined by a bank or scarp of fieldstones SE-W-NW and the NW-SE farm lane at NE and was used to contain fieldstones.   Description

  Located on a rise towards the bottom of a NW-facing slope. It is depicted only o the 1907 edition of the OS 6-inch map where it is described in gothic lettering as a ‘Carn’. This is an oval slightly raised grass and scrub-covered stony area (dims 16m E-W; 12m N-S: max. H 1m) with a large boulder (dims 1m x 0.7m) at the E edge.
