Description
On S-facing slope c.200m from shore at inner end of Barley Cover. Ruined gallery (L 4m; Wth c. 0.8m) aligned NE-SW, comprises one orthostat and two fallen sidestones to S, one orthostat to N, inset backstone to E. Orthostat at NW corner probably remains of outer-walling. Roof-stone, in two pieces, lies above gallery. No indications of surrounding mound. (de Valera and O Nualláin 1982, 39, Co. 57; Roberts 1988, Ch. 4, no. 32) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
