Description
Reinforced concrete structure forming sector of circle, built c.1925. Originally containing twelve bays for housing locomotives, now in use as storage for engineering firm. Vaulted concrete roof. Square-headed window openings with glazed timber-framed windows and concrete sills to north/rear and south-east elevations. Detached six-bay single-storey reinforced concrete office building, with bay window to east elevation, located to south-west of locomotive shed. Square-headed window openings with glazed timber-framed windows and concrete sills. Square-headed door opening with timber door to east elevation. Set in large yard with former goods shed located to south.

Semi-detached two-bay three-storey house, built c.1880, with single-storey canted bay window to south bay of front elevation. Pitched slate roof with red and yellow brick chimneystack to south gable, paired timber brackets to eaves, and cast-iron rainwater goods. Smooth rendered walls and plinth course, with sill course to first floor. Segmental-headed window openings with one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows and painted sills. Segmental-headed door opening with replacement timber door and surround.

Corner-sited two-storey house with dormer attic, built c.1910, having two-bay elevation to Newtownbutler Road, one bay to Fitzpatrick Square and one bay to chamfered corner. Terminates row of similar houses on Fitzpatrick Square. Slate roof, spired to corner, with red brick chimneystack. Slate hanging to sides of dormer windows. Smooth rendered lined and ruled walls with smooth rendered plinth course, and having smooth rendered pilasters to corner entrance and to each flanking ground floor window. Square-headed window openings with replacement uPVC windows, moulded render surrounds with keystone details, and painted sills. Square-headed door opening with moulded surround, timber panelled door with overlight, and moulded surround. Small gardens to each elevation, bounded by rendered plinth walls with wrought-iron railings and pedestrian gates.

Three-bay two-storey L-plan former manse, built c.1870, with slightly lower entrance projection to front re-entrant corner, canted bay window to projecting east end bay of front, and single-storey hipped-roof extension to rear. Hipped slate roof with ridge tiles, smooth rendered shouldered chimneystacks with rendered copings and terracotta pots, and some cast-iron rainwater goods. Roughly dressed rubble limestone walls built to courses, with ashlar sandstone block-and-start quoins. Roughcast rendered walls with smooth rendered plinth course to return, smooth rendered bay window and smooth rendered upper storey to entrance projection. Square-headed window openings with replacement timber sliding sash windows, red brick block-and-start surrounds, smooth rendered reveals and limestone sills. Round-headed doorway with panelled door, fanlight, moulded surround, set within red brick block-and-start surround. Two-storey outbuilding to northwest, built c.1870, having three-bay first floor and four-bay ground floor, with hipped slate roof, roughcast rendered rubble limestone walls, segmental carriage arch, flanked by square-headed doorways and window. Three-bay single-storey former Methodist church built c.1966 to north-east with gabled porch projection. Set within own grounds.

Roughcast rendered walls with coloured bottle glass insertions, smooth rendered walling to lower part of ground floor of front elevation, smooth rendered block-and-start quoins and smooth with rendered strips to attic level, render platband to first floor sill level, and render details highlighting window openings with chevron and roundel devices. Square-headed window openings with timber casement windows to ground and first floor having small-pane overlights, round-headed opening to dormer with one-over one pane timber sliding sash frame, all having smooth rendered reveals and painted sills. Round-headed doorway with timber panelled door, having round-headed upper panels, spoked timber fanlight, smooth rendered reveals and panelled render pilasters and archivolt with keystone. Garden to front, with rendered plinth walls and decorative wrought-iron railings and gate.

Detached four-bay single-storey limestone-walled Gothic Revival former school, built 1902, on almost cruciform plan, with square plan two-stage tower to east end, gable-fronted projection to front elevation, and entrance porch to re-entrant corner of front elevation. Slate roof, pyramidal to tower and pitched elsewhere, with ridge tiles topped with cast-iron cresting, cast-metal vents to roof, cast-iron finials to gables, cut-stone chimneystack to projecting bay and to rear with moulded coping and terracotta pots, cut-stone eaves course to tower, timber bargeboards to gables, and square-profile cast-iron rainwater goods with decorative brackets. Rock-faced walls built to courses with ashlar block-and-start quoins. Limestone plaque to front elevation with lettering 'Clones National School Fort-View'. Pointed arch window openings, paired to projecting bay, four-light to gables of main block, and square-headed elsewhere, two-light to top stage of tower, with lead glazing, chamfered ashlar block-and-start surrounds. Quatrefoil openings above gable windows. Tudor-arch doorways to porch and to tower, with battened timber doors and chamfered ashlar block-and-start surrounds. Set within own grounds, bounded by rock-faced limestone wall with double-leaf cast-iron gate hung on rubble stone piers with caps.
