Description
Situated on a rise at the S edge of a shelf overlooking the triangular Spring Lough (dims c. 540m NNE-SSW; 275m NW-SE at SW), about 230m from the NW shore. This is a subcircular grass-covered area (int. dims 37m N-S; 33m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (at NE: Wth of base 2m; int. H 0.45m; ext. H 0.65m), which has probably been modified. There is no visible fosse but there is an entrance (Wth of base 1.8m) at NW leading to farm buildings. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of revision: 28 July 2017

Description
Situated in a slight col on a NW-SE spur. This is a circular overgrown area (diam. c. 30m) that slopes down to the N, which is defined by an overgrown earthen bank (at S: Wth 3.5m; int. H 1m; ext. H 1.6m) that is reduced to an overgrown scarp at N (H 1.6m). There is no visible fosse or entrance. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986).
