Description
In rough, rush-covered grazing, in an E-W hollow between rocky ridges to the N and S. This well-set standing stone (H 1.65m; 1.1m x 0.8m) leans slightly to the NW and is trapezoidal in plan. Its long axis is orientated NW-SE. Packing-stones are visible on the ground surface at the base of the standing stone. Description
In pasture, atop drumlin, overlooking Bantry Bay and Whiddy Island to N. Roughly circular area (35.2m N-S; 39m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 2.65m) ENE->NW; scarp with internal lip NW->ENE; external fosse (D 0.55m). Field fence skirts fosse W->NNE.
