  Description

  Detached five-bay single-storey house with half-dormer attic, extant 1840, on a cruciform plan centred on single-bay single-storey lean-to projecting porch; single-bay (two-bay deep) full-height central return (west). Occupied, 1911. Part reroofed, ----. Replacement hipped artificial slate roof on a T-shaped plan centred on pitched slate roof (west); lean-to slate roof (porch), lichen-spotted ridge tiles off-centred on rendered chimney stack having corbelled stepped chamfered stringcourse below capping, rooflights (west), and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered red brick stepped eaves retaining cast-iron octagonal or ogee hoppers and downpipes. Part creeper- or ivy-covered roughcast slate hung walls. Hipped square-headed central door opening with threshold, and timber mullions framing timber panelled door having sidelights below overlight. Square-headed window openings with cut-granite sills, and concealed dressings framing two-over-two timber sash windows. Square-headed window openings (west) with cut-granite sills, and concealed dressings framing two-over-two (ground floor) or six-over-six (half-dormer attic) timber sash windows having part exposed sash boxes. Interior including (ground floor): central hall or lobby retaining carved timber surrounds to door openings framing timber panelled doors; and carved timber surrounds to door openings to remainder framing timber panelled doors with timber panelled shutters to window openings. Set in landscaped grounds with limewashed piers to perimeter having rendered pyramidal capping supporting wrought iron-detailed flat iron "farm gate".

  Description

  Detached four-bay single-storey lobby entry farmhouse with half-dormer attic, extant 1840, on a rectangular plan originally three-bay single-storey on a T-shaped plan centred on single-bay single-storey gabled windbreak. Now disused. Pitched corrugated-asbestos roof with pressed iron ridge, part creeper- or ivy-covered coping to gables with rendered chimney stacks to apexes having shallow stringcourses below capping supporting terracotta pots, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves. Rendered battered wall to front (north) elevation; roughcast surface finish (remainder). Square-headed central door opening in round- or segmental-headed recess with concrete threshold, and concealed dressings framing timber boarded half-door having "mouth organ" overlight. Square-headed window openings with concrete or rendered sills, and concealed dressings framing two-over-two (ground floor) or six-over-six (half-dormer attic) timber sash windows having part exposed sash boxes. Interior including (ground floor): central lobby. Set in unkempt grounds with cylindrical piers to perimeter supporting flat iron "farm gate".

  Detached five-bay (two-bay deep) two-storey over basement country house, extant 1840, on a T-shaped plan centred on single-bay single-storey flat-roofed projecting porch to ground floor; three- or five-bay full-height rear (north) elevation. Hipped slate roof on a quadrangular plan with clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks on axis with ridge having corbelled stepped capping supporting terracotta or yellow terracotta octagonal pots, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves retaining cast-iron downpipes. Rendered, ruled and lined walls on moulded rendered cushion course on rendered plinth; cement rendered surface finish to rear (north) elevation. Segmental-headed central door opening into country house with cut-granite threshold, cut-granite doorcase with pilasters on plinths supporting "Cyma Recta"- or "Cyma Reversa"-detailed cornice framing timber panelled double doors having fanlight. Square-headed window openings with cut-granite sills, and concealed dressings framing two-over-two timber sash windows. Square-headed window openings to rear (north) elevation centred on square-headed window opening (half-landing) with cut-granite sills, and concealed dressings framing nine-over-six (ground floor) or two-over-two (first floor) timber sash windows without horns centred on nine-over-six timber sash window without horns. Interior including (ground floor): central hall retaining carved timber surrounds to door openings framing timber panelled doors; and carved timber surrounds to door openings to remainder framing timber panelled doors with timber panelled shutters to window openings. Set in landscaped grounds.

  Gateway, extant 1840, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of limewashed piers having cut-granite shallow pyramidal capping with limewashed outer piers having cut-granite shallow pyramidal capping. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of Clonard House.
