Description
Detached four-bay double-height single-cell Catholic church, built 1832; dated 1832, on a rectangular plan; single-bay single-storey gabled projecting porch to entrance (east) front. "Improved", 1893, producing present composition. Dedicated, 1900. Renovated, 1986, with sanctuary reordered. Pitched slate roofs including pitched (gabled) slate roof (porch); clay ridge tiles, cut-granite coping to gable to entrance (east) front on cut-granite "Cavetto" kneelers with granite ashlar buttressed gabled bellcote to apex framing cast-bronze bell, cut-granite coping to gable (porch) on cut-granite "Cavetto" kneelers with wrought iron Cross finial to apex, and replacement uPVC rainwater goods on rendered cut-granite eaves. Rendered, ruled and lined walls with rusticated cut-granite quoins to corners. Pointed-arch window openings with cut-granite sills, timber Y-mullions, and rendered "bas-relief" surrounds having chamfered reveals framing storm glazing over fixed-pane fittings having stained glass margins centred on leaded stained glass panels. Paired lancet window openings to entrance (east) front with cut-granite sills, and rendered "bas-relief" surrounds having chamfered reveals framing storm glazing over fixed-pane fittings having leaded stained glass panels. Paired lancet window openings (porch) below cut-granite date stone ("1832"), cut-granite sill, and rendered "bas-relief" surrounds having chamfered reveals framing fixed-pane fittings having stained glass margins centred on leaded stained glass panels. Square-headed opposing door openings ("cheeks") with concealed dressings framing replacement glazed timber doors. Interior including vestibule (east) with paired stained glass windows (----); square-headed door opening into nave with replacement glazed timber double doors having sidelights below overlight; full-height interior with choir gallery (east) below stained glass memorial "East Window" (1993), carpeted aisles between trefoil-detailed timber pews, grouped Gothic-style timber stations between stained glass memorial windows (1911), carpeted stepped dais to sanctuary (west) reordered, 1986, with "Pietà"-detailed cut-veined white marble panelled altar (1841) below Classical-style reredos, and "Acanthus"-detailed moulded plasterwork cornice to compartmentalised ceiling. Set in landscaped grounds on a slightly elevated site with roughcast-panelled rendered piers to perimeter having "Cavetto"-detailed pyramidal capping supporting wrought iron double gates.

Description
Attached three-bay two-storey parochial house, built 1859, on a T-shaped plan centred on single-bay single-storey flat-roofed projecting glazed porch to ground floor. Occupied, 1901; 1911. Renovated, 1986. Hipped slate roof with lichen-covered clay ridge tiles, paired red brick Running bond central chimney stacks having chevron- or saw tooth-detailed stringcourses below capping supporting yellow terracotta octagonal pots, and replacement uPVC rainwater goods on slightly overhanging rendered slate flagged eaves. Rendered walls on rendered chamfered plinth. Segmental-headed central door opening into parochial house, doorcase with engaged Ionic columns supporting iron-covered shallow cornice on blind frieze on entablature, and moulded rendered surround framing replacement glazed uPVC door having fanlight. Square-headed window openings with cut-granite sills, and rendered "bas-relief" block-and-start surrounds centred on keystones framing replacement uPVC casement windows replacing two-over-two (ground floor) or six-over-six (first floor) timber sash windows. Interior including (ground floor): central hall retaining carved timber surrounds to door openings framing timber panelled doors; and carved timber surrounds to door openings to remainder framing timber panelled doors with carved timber surrounds to window openings framing timber panelled shutters. Set in landscaped grounds shared with Catholic Church of the Assumption and Saint Malachy.

Freestanding single-bay (single-bay deep) single-storey over basement gable-fronted mortuary chapel, built 1861, on a rectangular plan. Pitched (gable-fronted) limestone flagged roof with Cross finial-topped roll moulded ridge, and no rainwater goods on cut-limestone "Cavetto" cornice. Cut-limestone banded tuck pointed tooled limestone ashlar walls on cut-limestone chamfered cushion course on tooled cut-limestone plinth with buttresses to corners having cut-limestone "slated" coping. Lancet window openings with cut-limestone block-and-start surrounds having chamfered reveals framing iron mesh storm panels over fixed-pane fittings having stained glass margins centred on leaded stained glass panels. Pointed-arch window opening (west) with cut-limestone block-and-start surround having chamfered reveals framing iron mesh storm panels over fixed-pane fittings having stained glass margins centred on leaded stained glass panels. Pointed-arch door opening to entrance (east) front with cut-granite step threshold, and cut-limestone block-and-start surround having engaged colonette-detailed chamfered reveals framing wrought iron-detailed timber panelled door. Full-height interior with stained glass memorial windows centred on Gothic-style wall monuments (1860; 1942), "lozenge"-detailed Gothic-style altar below stained glass memorial window (----), and vaulted roof with moulded plasterwork ribs on engaged colonettes on "Cavetto" corbels. Set in landscaped grounds shared with Catholic Church of the Assumption and Saint Malachy with wrought iron railings to perimeter centred on wrought iron-detailed timber gate.
