Description
On a ridge in undulating grassland. Poorly preserved oval rath (NE-SW 29m, NW-SE 25m) defined by a scarp and external fosse; the latter survives only from E through S to SW. In E half of the interior, there is a shallow linear depression (L 13.8m, Wth 1.5m), its long axis running NNE-SSW; a possible souterrain. In farmland, to N of road. A circular enclosure (D 22m), in poor condition, defined by a bank and external fosse. The fosse is present from W to N; elsewhere only faint traces survive. Description
On a steep-sided hillock in grassland, formerly demesne land. A small almost circular enclosure (E-W 14m, N-S 13m), in fair condition, defined by an earthen bank (H 1.2m ext., Wth 0.8m) except at SE where a scarp forms the enclosing element. A number of tree stumps are visible on the line of the bank. Probably a tree-ring but the morphology and siting are striking.
