  Description

  Detached three-bay single-storey house, built c.1900, having canted-bay windows to front (east) elevation, and flat-roofed extension to south elevation. Unoccupied 2012. Hipped slate roof, with brick eaves course, and moulded brick eaves brackets. Cast-iron rainwater goods and polychrome brick chimneystacks having brick cornice and clay pots. Harl-rendered walls, with red brick, coursed rubble sandstone and ribbon dressed limestone block-and-start quoins, visible underneath. Square-headed window openings throughout with render surrounds and sills, and one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows. Cast-iron grilles to openings to north and south elevations. Square-headed window openings having render surrounds, sills, and timber windows to porch. Round-headed door opening to front, with render surround, plain fanlight and timber panelled door, opening onto render steps. Square-headed door opening to front of porch, with timber battened door. Rendered boundary wall, much overgrown, terminating in double-leaf cast-iron gate.

• Mullahara Orange Hall, Orange Hall, 1880–1885 · Regional interest
  Description

  Detached four-bay single-storey Orange hall, dated 1882, having gabled entrance porch to front (north-east) elevation, and with lower two-bay addition recessed to south-east end. Pitched slate roof with timber bargeboards, exposed roof timber ends, replacement rainwater goods, and polychrome brick chimneystacks. Harl-rendered walls, with tooled inscribed limestone date plaque to front of porch. Square-headed window openings, having render reveals, tooled stone sills, and timber casement windows. Two-over-two pane timber sliding sash window to front of addition. No openings to rear elevation or gables. Square-headed door openings to south-east elevation of porch to front, and to front of addition, with render reveals and timber battened doors. Vermiculated stone boundary wall to front of hall, with pair of square-plan vermiculated stone piers having render capping and plinth, flanking double-leaf wrought-iron gate.

• Ternamona National School, school, 1850–1870 · Regional interest
  Description

  Detached two-bay single-storey national school, built c.1860, having lower porch recessed slightly to south elevation, and single-bay single-storey outbuilding adjoining rear (west) elevation. Pitched slate roof, with timber bargeboards and cast-iron rainwater goods, and with rooflights to rear. Pitched corrugated-iron roof to outbuilding. Rubble limestone and sandstone walls, roughcast-rendered in places. Square-headed window openings to front (east), north and south elevations, having tooled stone sills, render reveals, gauged red brick voussoirs, and six-over-six pane timber sliding sash windows, glass mostly missing. Square-headed window opening to south elevation of porch with tooled stone sill and timber surround. Square-headed door opening to west of porch having render surround and double-leaf timber battened door.
